Doing the Daily challenge at Conceptart.org. This should allow me to show you the progress in my journey to Level Up! my digital art. The image for today is Pearl Alice Frusha, Pinup and the image for sketch and line art took me 2 hours so far. I think that it’s best to create the line art from the sketch, but I tried to clean up the sketch . So next time will do both. Using Photoshop CS6, hard brush set at 8 pixels.
Step 1. and 2 – Sketch and Inking
Step 3. – Block in colors using hard round
Step 4. Put shadows and Light on Skin. Using soft round brush only working on the skin. I will do detailing in a separate layer. Also Face and hands and Feet I separate. This took me about 30 mins. Colors may not be exact these challenges allow no cheating with color picker. Drat since I am a bit color blind with some colors they may not be near.
Step 5. Created separate shading for other areas. Combine all the separate shadings. Use soft round brush for shading and did some clean up on the edges. The final step is Detailing. Time 5 hrs shading
Step 6. Detailing and final image. Merged all layers and cleaned edges using hard and soft round brushes. added some details to the suit.
